Cowls are the big knit or crochet thing this season. We've got a beautiful knit one done in a quilt stitch. Why not come to class this Saturday with Pamela and learn this fun new stitch and be in the hip "cowl" crowd? 1:00 to 3:00, be there, be square! The crochet one I made is gorgeous too just not a class yet. Come by and see both. You can see the knit one for the class on my web site under classes.

KNIT PIT HAPPENINGS!
HAPPY NEW YEAR! Come celebrate early at Knit & Sip (crochet too!) this Wednesday 12/30 at 5:30-7:30. As always bring your project and get some help or just sit and chat. THEN, it's a new year already and what better way to start it off than learning a new sock technique? Saturday, January 2, 1:00-3:00 Pamela still has 3 spots open to learn a cable and diamond patterned sock. If you can already make basic socks come join fellow sock enthusiasts and learn something new. This class happens again on Thursday 1/7 at 10:00 a.m. with Jeannie if you can't make the Saturday class. Jeannie has 3 openings as well.
A special event is scheduled for January 28th sponsored by The Prescott Knitters group. Kristin Hansen will be speaking about Fiber Journeys- how she creates her patterns and then turns them into reality. This is a lecture setting, not a hands on class and there are only 20 spots available. Please RSVP to Katie Baird our gracious coordinator at ktcosmos@looseends.net The session starts at 5:30.

Funny!
A lady came in the store today and wanted to know what she could get her sister who knits for a gift. It went like this: What does she like to knit? - I don't know. How about some of these gorgeous Harmony needles? She might already have them. How about these antique needle point protectors? She might already have them.... How about this recyled sari silk from the women in Nepal? She might already have it... Well, a gift certificate? She's out of town. I give up! Some folks are so funny!

I'm spreading the rumor that at A Good Yarn on December 12 (Christmas Party Day!) there will be a sale on cotton. Summer in December! Better check your patterns because I heard there will be 25% off anything with "cotton" on the label. Could it possibly true?
